Mr. and Mrs. Fenton are pleased to open their farm and excited to see the artwork at the event.  Kristen from the Conservancy had this to say "beautiful buildings, a nice woodland with a stream, goats and ducks, and a breathtaking view from the top of a hill looking over the valley"

Mrs. Fenton offered these directions to her home:  (South Creek Road is Route 100).

Coming from Chadds Ford we are the first driveway on the right after Cossart Rd,

Coming from Delaware, come down Twaddell Mill Rd in Centerville, it dead ends on route 100, take a left onto 100 and we're the second driveway on the left

Painting Location: Rose Hill- Fisher Farm

Rosehill is located next to the Laurels in Coatesville. The property is a little difficult to find.   The physical address is 490 Apple Grove Road, Coatesville.   but house numbers are out of order.  The most important information is to aim for the Laurels.  Come in the Laurels entrance and then go past the parking lot and up the hill.  They share a driveway with the Laurels and are a mile off the road.  Give people my cell, in case they are unsure.  The bottom part of the driveway belongs the Conservancy, past the parking lot to the gate at the top of the hill belongs to another land owner which we have painted at before. (Fat Chance Farm).  The Fishers  land starts just before that gate.

Property description:

The property has a historic home and barn and is an equestrian property.  The Fishers are lovely people and are very excited to welcome you to their farm. If you plan to  paint in the middle of a  field they have asked that you either walk or use their Gator because a car would get stuck with the way the ground is now.  Happy painting!

Nestled along the Pickering Creek in Chester Springs, Pennsylvania, the Mill at Anselma is an extraordinary artifact of over 250 years of Chester County’s industrial history. The 22 acre property and surviving historical buildings demonstrate a heritage engineered to last.

The Mill retains its original Colonial-Era power train, as well as multiple layers of industrial equipment ranging from the late 1700s to the mid 1900s.

Painting day at Swarthmore Farmers Market and Home for the Holidays

  • Swarthmore Event (Town Center parking lot) (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

The farmers’ market is located in the town center parking lot. The market runs from

9:30 am- 1:30 pm. After the market there is a thirty minute break while they finish preparing for Home for the Holidays. If you would like to paint at both the farmers’ market and Home for the Holidays there are shops and food trucks to buy a bite to eat. Home for the Holidays runs from 2:00 pm -7:00 pm.

Home for the Holidays is Swarthmore’s annual holiday tradition featuring horse-drawn carriage rides, a scavenger hunt, a visit from Santa Claus, dreidel games, a West African dance circle with Jeannine Osayande & Dunya Performing Arts Company, carols led by the Swarthmore Ukulele Orchestra, The Nutcracker Ballet, and so much more!

The day will also feature the 2nd Annual Santa 5K Run/Walk through the streets of Swarthmore on the morning of December 1. Come dressed as Jolly Old St. Nick, his reindeer, and elves or wear your ugliest holiday sweater!

I will email the final schedule once I receive it. There are quite a few activities throughout the day. The committee is very excited to have us paint at these events. They have been very willing to support us in any way they can.

Please let us know as soon as possible if you plan to attend. Donna will be at the market in the morning and stay for most of the day.

Saint Peter's Village Holiday Festival

Nestled among many acres of quiet forest, the historic community of Saint Peters Village is so small, you could miss it driving past. Missing the village would be a shame, because the residences and shops of this former company town have not changed much since the late 19th century, when they provided housing for the workers of eastern Pennsylvania's now-silent iron mines and granitequarries. Added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2003, Saint Peters Village provides a glimpse of what life was like more than 100 years ago. The village is located in the Hopewell Big Woods. The town is located in a narrow ravine along French Creek.

Address provided is for Saint Peter’s Bakery which is centrally located.
